Death panels my a*&

I read on another site some guy talking about the 'death panels' of Obamacare.

Seriously folks - what do you think we have now with for profit insurance companies running the show?

How many hundreds of thousands of people are denied coverage each year because most everything requires pre-approval these days? How many of those people - and not all of them at the end of their life - end up dying fighting their insurance company to cover their illness.

Had a cut on your leg 15 years ago that required stitches and you didn't disclose it? Your policy will be cancelled and good luck paying for your own chemotherapy.

There are story after story of insurance company 'death panels' chosing profit over patient care and denying coverage and especially evil are those company panels that meet after a patient is found to have an expensive condition to find a way to retroactively deny them coverage.

Think I am joking about the stitches?

Anytime anyone mentions a 'Democrat death panel' I have to laugh and then get real mad because the corporate rapists known as insurance companies have perfected the art of reducing sick people to costs that need to be avoided.

If the insurers didn't pay off politicians like the big banks do we would have had a single-payer national health care system years ago.

That is the most efficient way to run things as most of the rest of the civilized world has figured out.

But I guess if you like the idea of hundreds of insurance companies consuming huge amounts of our GDP to further line the pockets of the already uber-wealthy there isn't much anyone could say to convince you otherwise.
